#2 - Bear's Den Chalet in Vermont


Bear's Den Chalet is a rustic, cozy, standalone home nestled within the woods of the Bear's Crossing Community, and adjacent to the Mt. Snow Ski resort. The ski home trail, located directly across the street, is a great place to mountain bike in the warmer months, and is exclusive for Bear's Crossing residents.

Bear's Den Chalet guests can also ride the Mount Snow Bike Park, which puts "smiles on dirt-covered faces every summer." The park has recently added mountain biking features to exhilarate and challenge, like berms, ladders, man-made surfaces and dirt jumps. However if you're more of a beginner, you can ride the Gateway trail, one of the longest introductory downhill trails in the East.

#1 - Luxurious Hot Springs Cabin in Arkansas

Three such trails are International Mountain Biking Association "EPIC" rides, defined as "immersive rides that are technically and physically challenging...at least 20 miles in length."


The EPIC 33-mile Womble Trail is by far the most famous trail in Arkansas; people from all over the country travel in to bike it. It is mainly made up of loose rock with occasional half-packed dirt, and features exhilirating downhills that require some nerve to complete. An easier trail is the 21.5 mile Iron Mountain Trail, which features nicely bermed turns and some drops of varying difficulty.
